  • Successively served as President of Japan Society of Physical Education, Health and Sport Sciences, President of Japan Society of Human Growth and Development, Member of Incorporated Administrative Agency Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology-Japan.

  • Written many books, including "The Science of Motor Nerves" (Kodansha Gendai Shinsho), "Rejuvenation Walking - There was a way of walking that makes your brain and body 10 years younger" (Takarajimasha Shinsho), and "Creating Sports Motion to Enhance Running Performance (The Challenge of Sports Cognitive Motion Science)" (Kyorin Shoin).

  • Served as Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Environmental Stress, University of California in Santa Barbara, Professor of College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokyo, Professor of Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokyo, Specially Appointed Professor of Graduate School of Frontier Sciences at the University of Tokyo.

  • Graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1968 in Faculty of Education Department of Physical Education Health Education, and received his M.A. in Physical Education from the Graduate School of Education, the University of Tokyo in 1970, and his Ph. D. of Education.
