The vision of the Shirin Ebadi Foundation is to create a world where human rights, democracy, and peace are respected and upheld.
Organization’s major activities

Granting financial and technical support to individuals and organizations that promote and protect human rights.

Providing free legal aid to victims of human rights abuses, particularly women and children.

Engaging in advocacy and awareness-raising efforts on a range of human rights issues.

Advocating for women's rights, including gender equality and protection from discrimination and violence.

Promoting peace and reconciliation in conflict-affected areas.

Supporting democracy through advocating for free and fair elections, independent media, and the rule of law.

Projects UPI is funding and supporting

Free Internet access for Iran
-Preparing and sending VPN to bypass filtering in Iran.
-To provide VPNs and distribute them for free among journalists and civil and political activists.
-To acquire and send Starlink satellite dishes to Iran and pay for abonnement.

Two workshops with the activists belonging to ethnic minorities. The workshops focus on different issues of concern by minorities, such as self governance, and international law in regard to ethnic and linguistic minorities.

Translation of two books that Dr. Ebadi had previously published in Farsi,"The Rights of the Accused" and "The Rights of the Prisoner" will be translated into Turkish, Kurdish,Arabic and Balochi languages.
