Organization’s major activities

The Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa-USA promotes sustainable peace and reconciliation in Africa by empowering women and girls through education, training, and mentoring.

It advocates for policy changes that promote gender equality and engages in peacebuilding initiatives, partnering with local organizations to address the root causes of conflict and promote reconciliation.

The foundation also conducts research and knowledge sharing on issues related to women, peace, and security in Africa.
Projects UPI is funding and supporting

"Sister's Place" project in Monrovia, Liberia, which combines the construction of a girls' dormitory with scholarships and various programs to help girls and women in Liberia and elsewhere in Africa create peaceful and safe lives. Contributing towards the construction, operation and management of facilities to promote these programs.

Supported the "Taste of Liberia" project, a major U.S. project to improve the educational and housing environment for Liberian youth, especially girls.
